Meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government will be held in Ashgabat on 24 May

The meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS member states will be held in the capital of Turkmenistan on 24 May.

This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee, APA reports with reference to TASS.

“Members of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiaries of the CIS member states, which met in Minsk on 27 February, will consider proposals on the draft agenda of the next meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government to be held in Ashgabat on 24 May,” the statement said.

They will also consider the implementation of the roadmap for the implementation of initiatives in the field of security cooperation voiced by the heads of delegations during the meetings of the Council of Heads of State, the Council of Heads of Government, the Council of Foreign Ministers and the CIS Economic Council, and summarise the results of foreign policy cooperation within the Commonwealth in 2023 in the context of the international positioning of the CIS.

The previous meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS was held in Bishkek at the end of October 2023.
