Oil pipeline explodes in southern Iran

Blast takes place due to aging infrastructure

TEHRAN, Iran (AA) – An explosion occurred in an oil pipeline on Wednesday morning in southern Iran, according to local media.


Iranian Tasnim news agency said the explosion took place as a result of “aging infrastructure.”


The agency noted that the blast was felt by locals of the areas surrounding the pipeline.


No information was yet available about casualties.
