Top Greek, Russian diplomats discuss bilateral ties in Moscow

Diplomats also talk about EU-Russia relations, situation in Eastern Mediterranean.

ANKARA (AA) – Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Miltiadis Varvitsiotis and his Russian counterpart Alexander Grushko met in Moscow on Monday.

Varvitsiotis said on Twitter the two officials discussed bilateral relations, EU-Russia relations, and the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The Greek diplomat said Greece and Russia are “connected by historical ties of friendship, respect & cooperation”.

Varvitsiotis​​​​​​​ is on a working visit to Moscow.
