TASHKENT (AA) – In Tashkent, within the framework of the international high-level conference “Central and South Asia: Regional connectivity Challenges and Opportunities “, a meeting of the dialogue format” С5 + 1 “took place, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reports.

The delegations of the Central Asian countries were headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Nuran Niyazaliev.
The American side was represented by the US Internal Security Adviser Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall.

The parties discussed actual aspects of cooperation within the framework of the C5 + 1 format and exchanged views on international politics and regional security.
