Shavkat Mirziyoyev sacks a dozen mayors and several senior officials

Today, the president-elect Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a government meeting on additional measures to further expand investment attraction.

The meeting in particular considered the level of attraction of direct investments in various regions.

In Amudarya, Kurgantepa, Bukhara, Mirishkar, Chirakchi, Khatyrchi, Payaryk, Akaltyn, Gulistans, Akkurgan districts, as well as in the cities of Navoi and Yangiyul, these figures are low, and the investment environment is unsatisfactory.

As a result, Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to fire the mayors of two cities and 10 districts.

Also, for the insufficient investments, he ordered the Deputy Minister of Water Resources B. Kamalov, Deputy Minister of Transport A. Muminov, Chairman of Uzsuvtaminot S. Saifnazarov, chief of Uzbekistan Railways H. Khosilov and Chairman of the Committee on Highways A. Abduvaliev.

While, the chairman of Uztekstilsanoat association I. Khaydarov, the head of Thermal Power Plants B. Zhuraev and the chairman of Uzsanoatqurilishbank S. Annaklichev received a reprimand.
