Kyrgyzstan offers banning military equipment at CIS borders

Secretary of the Kyrgyz Security Council Marat Imankulov has proposed within the framework of the CIS to introduce restrictions on the presence of heavy equipment, tanks, artillery, and multiple-launch rocket systems near the borders, if this does not apply to the external borders of the Commonwealth states, Report informs referring to the Kyrgyz media.

He made the remark during the 10th meeting of the secretaries of the Security Councils of the CIS countries in Moscow.

The press service of the Kyrgyz president reported that it was proposed to increase the exchange of operational data between the competent structures, to inform each other about the quantitative and qualitative composition of the units of the armed forces stationed in the border areas.
