Opposition party blocks plenum in North Macedonia and calls for snap elections

The opposition party VMRO DPMNE in North Macedonia has officially blocked active process of the Macedonian Parliament.

VMRO DPMNE warned that they will block all the laws proposed by the government during the parliamentary procedure, including the law on budget reassessment.

MPs from this opposition party will be participating in discussions and disclose their arguments as to why they have decided to block these laws.

Active blocking of Parliament is a tactic that is being used in order to achieve the final goal, which is to hold snap parliamentary elections because the Macedonian opposition came out victorious in the last local elections, after which they called the current administration illegitimate.

Other opposition parties are also in favour of holding snap elections but they do not agree however, with all the actions that have been undertaken by VMRO DPMNE politicians.
