NATO’s Stoltenberg says necessary to be prepared for long-term tension with Russia

Even the end of the war in Ukraine should not be understood as the automatic normalization of relations between Russia and NATO, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said, Report informs.

He stressed the need to be prepared for long-term tensions with Russia, he said.

There are still no conditions to end the war in Ukraine through diplomacy, Stoltenberg said, adding that Russia wants not the negotiations but the freezing of the conflict to prepare for a new attack in the spring.
