The Prosecutors General of Uzbekistan and Russia Nigmatilla Yuldashev and Igor Krasnov signed a program of interdepartmental cooperation during a meeting in Moscow.
The Prosecutor General of Russia pointed to the need to deepen cross-border cooperation in the field of suppressing acts of terrorism, preventing young people from joining radical groups, and to act together and in close coordination.
“Only in this way will we be able to block the spread of the ideology of terror,” Krasnov noted.
He also proposed considering the issue of joining the Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan to the International Anti-Corruption Council. Krasnov noted the successful interaction of the two departments within other formats, including within the SCO. While, he also invited the Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan to visit Vladivostok in September and attend the Eastern Economic Forum.
Krasnov noted that the prosecutor’s offices of the two countries were successfully interacting on a wide range of issues, including within the framework of the cooperation program implemented in 2021-2023. Following the meeting, Nigmatilla Yuldashev and Igor Krasnov signed an interdepartmental cooperation program for 2024-2025.
