Telephone conversation between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan

According to Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkmenistan, today January 10, Mr Rashit Meredov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a telephone conversation with Abdulaziz Kamilov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The foreign ministries discussed the ways to further strengthen the development of bilateral relations in the light of the agreements reached during the informal CIS Summit between the Presidents of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan in December last year in St. Petersburg.

In this context, they emphasized the invitation of the Uzbek side and the government delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan in charge of economic issues will visit Tashkent in the nearest future to hold meetings and negotiations to expand Turkmen Uzbek cooperation in the economic sphere.
