Security Council of Moldova accuses Russia of preparing attack on country in 2023

Head of the Information and Security Service of Moldova Alexandru Musteata said in an interview with TVR Moldova that Russia plans to attack the territory of this state in early 2023, Report informs referring to Gazeta.ru.

“The question is not whether the Russian Federation will launch a new attack on the territory of Moldova, but when it will happen: either at the beginning of the year, in January-February or later, in March-April,” he said.

According to Musteata, the goal of such alleged actions will be unification with Transnistria. At the same time, he called the risk of an offensive high and noted that he didn’t know whether it would be limited only to Transnistria.
