President of Kazakhstan declares readiness to help Turkiye after earthquake

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a letter of condolences to Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan regarding the earthquake in Turkiye’s south, Report informs via Akorda.

“It is with profound sorrow that I received the news of the death of a large number of people as a result of a destructive earthquake in the Republic of Turkiye. At this challenging moment, on behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and on my own behalf, I express my condolences to the families of the victims and the entire fraternal Turkish people,” reads the letter.

Tokayev also announced the readiness of Kazakhstan to provide necessary assistance to Turkiye.

A strong earthquake hit the south-east of Turkiye, killing dozens of people.
