Azerbaijan and China discuss expanding legal cooperation on international platforms

Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev met with Liu Queshin, Deputy Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and Deputy Chairman of the National Supervisory Commission, who is currently visiting Azerbaijan

Report informs that during the meeting, the two sides discussed the expansion of legal cooperation between Azerbaijan and China within the framework of international platforms. Aliyev emphasized the high level of friendly and partnership relations between the two countries.

The Prosecutor General highlighted the historical significance of Azerbaijan hosting the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29). He announced that on November 15, the Prosecutor General’s Office will organize a high-level plenary session on “Mobilizing Law Enforcement in the Fight Against Climate Change.”

In turn, Liu Queshin expressed gratitude for the warm reception and highly appreciated the reforms carried out in Azerbaijan in the field of combating corruption.

The two sides then discussed prospects for expanding legal and institutional cooperation between their respective agencies within bilateral and international platforms, as well as the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation.
