Italian Foreign Ministry to summon Russian Ambassador over decision on assets of Ariston Thermo Group

Russian Ambassador to Italy Alexei Paramonov will be summoned to Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for explanations in connection with the decision of the Russian government to transfer the Russian assets of Ariston Thermo Group to the management of the Gazprom Household Systems company.

“I instructed the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to summon the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Italy. The government demands an explanation in connection with the decision to nationalize the Ariston Thermo Group,” the Italian Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani said on social networks.

The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which 100% of the shares of the Russian structure Ariston and the BSH Hausgerate structure are transferred to the management of Gazprom Household Systems.

Ariston thermo Rus is registered in the Leningrad region, and its main activity is the production of household electrical appliances.
