Informal CIS summit in St. Petersburg to be held December 26-27

An informal meeting of the heads of the CIS countries will be held in St. Petersburg December 26-27, executive secretary of the Commonwealth Sergey Lebedev said, Report informs referring to Russian media.

“We hope that it will give an additional impetus to our cooperation,” he noted.

On December 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the meeting of the leaders of the CIS countries. The president didn’t name the exact date of the summit, but specified that it would take place before the New Year in St. Petersburg.
