Gazprom announced on Wednesday that it is resuming transportation of Russian gas to Italy via Austria.

In a statement, the company said that together with the Italian buyers a necessary solution was reached for the gas flow.

“The Austrian operator has signaled its readiness to confirm the transport nominations of Gazprom Export, making it possible to resume the supplies of Russian gas across Austria,” the company said in a statement.

Gazprom’s gas flows to Italy were halted on Oct. 1 due to new regulations in Austria which came as a result of the sanctions on Russia.
