Ambassador: “Russia expects written response from US on its proposals”

“Our negotiations are based on the request for a legally binding security document. Currently, we are expecting a written response from the US,” said Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov, APA reports.

Touching upon US-Russia relations the ambassador noted that Russia does not want NATO to expand its borders. He said NATO was concerned about the deployment of offensive weapons on Russia’s borders.

“There is a dialogue between NATO and Russia, the US and Russia, negotiations are being held. Russia expects written response from the US this week, about its proposals. Our negotiations are based on the request for a legally binding security document,” the ambassador said.
