Yoon calls natl security council meeting after N. Korea missile launch

South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol on Wednesday called for a meeting of the country’s National Security Council (NSC) after North Korea’s latest ballistic missile launch, his office announced, APA reports citing Teletrader.

The missile was hurling toward South Korea’s island of Ulleungdo before landing in the Sea of Japan, the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) announced.

The launch came after Pyongyang condemned the ongoing military drills between South Korea and the United States, which started on Monday.
