The Albanian Parliament will meet on July 11 with the Srebrenica genocide agenda

Prime Minister Edi Rama’s government, which rejected the bill to condemn the Srebrenica genocide presented by the opposition in the Albanian Parliament, decided to hold a special session on this occasion on July 11, the anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide.

After the criticisms that came after the rejection of the Srebrenica bill, Taulant Balla, one of the ruling Socialist Party deputies, said, “We stand with the families who lost their loved ones and seek justice for them. The Albanian Parliament will hold a special session on the occasion of the commemoration of the Srebrenica genocide on July 11, 2022.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama also said his party voted against the opposition’s vote in parliament, not the bill on the Srebrenica genocide.
