Twin bombings hit a hospital in the Afghan capital

Hospital is located near Kabul’s diplomatic enclave.

A military hospital in the Afghan capital Kabul was hit by twin bombings, eyewitnesses said on Tuesday.

The hospital is located in the Wazir Akbar Khan region, a wealthy neighborhood with many foreign embassies.

The first bomb exploded at the entrance of the Sardar Mohammad Dawood Khan Hospital, the largest military hospital in Kabul. This was followed by a second bombing.

After the explosions, a volley of gunfire was heard inside the hospital.

So far, no casualties have been reported.
