Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Cambodia sign MoU

Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia Sok Chenda Sophea on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

The Foreign Ministers signed a memorandum of understanding on bilateral consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia.

During the conversation, the prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation in various areas, including interaction within the framework of international organizations, were discussed. Attention was also paid to the importance of interaction between small countries in areas of mutual interest.

Foreign Minister Kulubaev expressed gratitude for the support provided within the framework of international organizations and emphasized the need to continue this practice. He proposed holding bilateral consultations at the level of deputy ministers or heads of departments.

A proposal was made to organize an exchange of visits at the ministerial level and higher, when further areas of cooperation can be considered in detail.
