FM: China against Russia’s exclusion from G20

China opposes Russia’s exclusion from the G20 and other international forums, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Report informs referring to foreign media.

The foreign ministers of the two countries are holding a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the summit on the Indonesian island of Bali.

“We support Russia’s worthy role within the G20 and other international forums, and we believe that no one has the right to take away the rational right of the Russian Federation to participate in multilateral formats,” Wang Yi said.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in his address to the summit participants, expressed the hope that the Russian Federation would be excluded from the G20.
