Japanese fighter jet disappears from radar

An F-15 fighter jet of the Japan Self-Defense Forces has disappeared from radar on Monday during a flight near Ishikawa Prefecture on the coast of the Sea of Japan, Report informs citing TASS.

The jet took off from the Komatsu military base. After that, the connection with it disappeared.

In connection with the possible fall of the fighter jet into the water, the coast guard in the port of Kanazawa is preparing to send boats to the site of the alleged crash.

The Japan Self-Defense Forces are armed with about 200 F-15 fighters. They are mainly used to escort foreign military jets that fly near the Japanese borders.
