Uzbekistan increased exports of IT services

The Minister of Information Technologies and Communications Development of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov said that last year the export of IT services in all regions of Uzbekistan increased, reaching $ 344 million. The information was provided on the minister’s official Telegram channel.

Shermatov noted that the growth in exports was largely due to the activities of IT park residents, with Tashkent accounting for the largest export volume. The minister stressed that companies working in the IT sphere should actively develop their export activities and increase the share of exports to 50 per cent by the end of 2027.

To stimulate export growth this year, it is planned to attract young people to study foreign languages and information technologies, as well as attract foreign companies to the regions of Uzbekistan. There are already 1,600 IT companies operating in the country, and exports of IT services are expected to continue to grow and exceed $300 million by the end of this year.
