UAZ could launch models at Chirchiq technopark

Talks took place between executives of Chirchiq technopark and Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ), at which the parties discussed perspectives for cooperation.

The press service of Chirchiq technopark unveiled in the Tashkent province announced the intention of UAZ to start assembling cars on their basis.

In March 2022, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and the president of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov attended the official launc ceremony of Chirchiq chemical-industrial technopark in the Tashkent province, with the participation of the Russian technopolis Khimgrad in Tatarstan.

Chirchiq technopark was set up with the aim of attracting and hosting foreign and local companies to launch production facilities in Uzbekistan. The total area of the technopark is 29 hectares.
