Shavkat Mirziyoyev to pay state visit to Singapore

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has accepted the invitation of Singapore’s President Halima Yakub, and will pay a state visit to this country on January 16-18, the presidential press service said.

Reportedly, the visit program includes for meetings and negotiations at the highest level – with the President of Singapore, as well as Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

The sides are set to discuss the ways to further expand and strengthen the Uzbek-Singapore multifaceted ties on focus on deepening cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, innovation, transport and communication areas, as well as in the field of public administration and the training of skilled personnel.

A “solid package of bilateral documents in the above areas” is being prepared, the press service added.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev is also scheduled to meet CEOS of Singapore’s major companies. On the eve of the visit, a business forum of business circles of the two countries will be held.
