Saidov, Blinken hold talks

On March 1, Acting Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov hosted the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Tashkent. Reportedly, during the meeting, which took place mainly behind closed doors, the parties agreed to joint efforts to facilitate business exchanges, enhance the human resources potential of Uzbekistan, strengthen regional security in Central Asia, and a number of other issues.

“We highly value the regular and comprehensive support of the reform program of the President of Uzbekistan by the US government,” Bakhtiyor Saidov said.

On February 28, the Uzbek Foreign Minister attended the C5+1 meeting in Astana with the participation of the foreign ministers of the United States and Central Asian countries.
