Plenary session of TurkPA kicks off in Issyk-Kul

A meeting of the Council and the XI plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TurkPA) has begun in Cholpon-Ata town of Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul Oblast.

Thus, parliamentary delegations of TurkPA member-states – Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Hungary are participating in the plenary session.

The sides are expected to discuss issues of deepening and expanding inter-parliamentary ties, approve the strategic road map of the TurkPA for 2023-2028, and consider a draft model law to support and develop social entrepreneurship.

A total of 18 issues are included in the agenda. In addition, during the meeting the chairmanship of the TurkPA will be transferred from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan.

Cholpon-Ata Declaration will be adopted following the meeting.
