Kazakhstani Senate passes bill reducing Nursultan Nazarbayev’s powers

Kazakh senators passed amendments that cancel the lifetime presidency of Nursultan Nazarbayev over the Security Council and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, APA reports citing Orda.kz.

Senators made another amendment to the law on the first president, which cancels coordinating with Nazarbayev the initiatives on main directions of foreign and domestic policy, said MP Lyazzat Suleimen.
