Interior Ministries of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan Discuss Cooperation

Deputy Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Oktiabr Urmambetov visited the Interior Ministry of Uzbekistan, where meetings were held with Interior Minister of Uzbekistan Lt. Gen. Pulat Bobojonov, First Deputy Interior Minister Col. Shavkat Rahmonov, Deputy Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Bekmurod Abdullaev.

The officials discussed bilateral cooperation issues.

The Uzbek side presented new projects for the development of police activities in the field of ensuring public order, safety of citizens, and ensuring road safety. In particular, they demonstrated new equipment, motor vehicles, new digital technologies designed to prevent offenses and crimes and ensure safety for citizens.

The Uzbek side expressed readiness to share its new projects with the Interior Ministry of Kyrgyzstan and invited the delegation of Kyrgyzstan to visit Uzbekistan again to explore the projects.

The meetings were held in connection with the second round of consultations held between the Security Council Secretaries of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan held on March 16-18 in Tashkent.
