FMs of Central Asian countries to hold talks in Japan

The foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries will visit Tokyo on December 23, Report informs referring to the Tajik media.

It is known about the visit of the foreign ministers of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan.

The talks will be attended by Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

One of the topics of discussion may be the preparation of a meeting of the leaders of the states of Central Asia and Japan.

On the eve of this event, the Association of Members of Parliament for Friendship between Japan and the countries of Central Asia was established in Japan. It was headed by the deputy chairman of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, former Prime Minister Taro Aso.

Constant consultations between the foreign ministers of Japan and the five countries of Central Asia began in 2004. Due to the restrictions associated with the pandemic, there was a failure in contacts. Now it is again being established in full-time format.
