Emomali Rahmon met with Kazakh Foreign Minister

Tajik President Emomali Rahmon met with Kazakh Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu to discuss priority areas of cooperation between the two countries. As ASIA-Plus reports, the meeting emphasized the steady expansion of the strategic partnership and their convergence to the level of allied cooperation.

President Rahman emphasized the high results achieved last year and noted the richness of relations between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in the current year. The sides expressed their support for further effective development of mutually beneficial cooperation in such areas as trade, industry, energy, agro-industrial sector, investments, tourism, culture and education.

Nurtleu also met with his Tajik counterpart Sirojiddin Muhriddin in Dushanbe. Among other issues, the sides discussed the details of the upcoming visit of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Dushanbe in 2024.
