Bilateral trade between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan is growing steadily, Cabinet Chairman Akylbek Japarov said at the meeting of the intergovernmental commission on May 3 in Tashkent.
In 2023, around 5% accounted for Uzbekistan in Kyrgyzstan’f foreign trade, including 8.8% export and 3.3% import, the Cabinet Chairman said.
“We are glad that all bilateral plans and investment projects are realized, we see good progress and results of our joint work,” the Cabinet Chairman said.
Official opening of the car plant is planned in Chui region. The countries are steadily developing other major investment, transport and energy projects, such as construction of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, construction of Kambar-Ata-1 HPP, construction of Chatkal HPP and other, Cabinet Chairman Japarov said.
The agreement on construction of the car factory Altyn-Tulpar was signed in Bishkek on January 27, 2023.
