Border port recovery to be discussed in Ulaanbaatar

The government of Mongolia, together with the National Commission of Border Port Recovery and the Border Port Administration, will organize the National Border Port Recovery Forum 2024 on March 25-26.

The forum will discuss the current state of border ports, the state budget, foreign loans, port infrastructure and development, investment opportunities at ports, investment opportunities in free economic zones, public-private partnership strategies, cross-border tourism and other issues affecting the activities of border ports.

Participants will also discuss the law of the sea convention, opportunities for landlocked developing countries, border port development and trade facilitation.

The forum will be attended by Chair of the National Commission of Border Port Recovery B. Tulga, Minister of Finance B. Javkhlan, ADB Country Director for Mongolia Shannon Cowlin, Executive Director of the Hangi Eco Trans company B. Turbold and Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Mining Association G. Battsengal.

During the forum, the National Commission of Border Port Recovery and the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mongolia will sign the Memorandum of Cooperation.
