Agreement reached on another section of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan

The heads of the State National Defence Committees of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan met in Batken.

At the meeting, Chairman of the State National Defence Committee of Kyrgyzstan Kamchibek Tashiyev and Chairman of the State National Defence Committee of Tajikistan Saimumin Yatimov discussed the issue of demarcation of the border in the remaining sections and gave special instructions to intensify negotiations between the working groups of the government delegations, APA Central Asia Bureau reports.

Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan reached an agreement on the border near the village of Maksat, which had previously been shelled several times. This is stated in the video statements of the chairmen of the State National Security Committees of the two countries.
