Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov meets with Georgian PM Garibashvili

Azerbaijani Foreign MinisterJeyhun Bayramov met with Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili as part of his working visit to Georgia, Report informs, citing the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Thanking for the invitation, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov conveyed his warmest greetings to the Prime Minister of Georgia on behalf of the President and Prime Minister of Azerbaijan.

He said the traditional friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia are built on a solid foundation. The minister emphasized that the high-level political dialogue between the two countries and intensive mutual visits gave a positive impetus to the further development of relations.

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili conveyed his greetings to the President and Prime Minister of Azerbaijan with deep respect and expressed his satisfaction with the dynamic development of bilateral relations.

The parties exchanged views on the prospects for the development of cooperation in the economic, trade, energy, transport, and humanitarian fields at a time when the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries was celebrated.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov thanked the Georgian side for hosting the meeting between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia and informed about the steps taken towards normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the post-conflict phase.

Prime Minister Garibashvili welcomed the efforts to achieve peace and emphasized Georgia’s support for the process and the importance of the meeting between the Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers, which they hosted in this regard.

The parties discussed other issues of mutual interest.
