Indonesia celebrates 76th Independence Day

JAKARTA, INDONESIA – AUGUST 17: Indonesia on Tuesday (Aug.17) celebrated its 76th Independence Day.

The country had proclaimed its independence on Aug. 17, 1945, after being colonized by the Dutch forces for 350 years and later by Japan for three and half years.

During the commemoration ceremony, Air Force helicopters carried the country’s flag.
