Swiss President: Kiev asked to organise peace conference

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked Switzerland to organise a high-level peace conference.

According to the news quoted by TASS, this request was expressed by Viola Amherd, President of the Swiss Confederation.

Bern reportedly responded positively to this request. Speaking at a joint press conference with her Ukrainian counterpart visiting Bern, Amherd said, “Mr Zelensky asked Switzerland to organise a high-level peace summit, and I confirmed our readiness to organise the conference.”

He said the details of the organisation of the conference “will be worked out in depth for the success of the peace process”.
