Beijing sets economic goals for 2023

The leadership of the Chinese Communist Party has set a number of economic goals for 2023, Report informs via China Central Television.

Among the priorities are promoting openness to the outside world, attracting and using foreign capital, optimizing pandemic prevention and control measures, and effectively preventing and eliminating major financial risks.

The Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a special meeting on December 6, chaired by the General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping. The meeting analyzed and studied the economic work plans for 2023, and measures to improve the party’s work and fight corruption.

The meeting participants pointed out that in 2023, the country should adhere to the motto of “making progress in stability”, continue to pursue a constructive fiscal policy and prudent monetary policy, strengthen the coordination and combination of various approaches, and optimize epidemic prevention and control measures.
