Medvedev discussed Ukraine with Xi Jinping

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chinese president, on Wednesday met with Chairman of the United Russia party Dmitry Medvedev, who visited China at the invitation of the CP, APA reports citing Xinhua.

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, conveyed President Vladimir Putin’s appeal to Chinese President Xi Jinping, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports citing the secretariat of the deputy head of the Security Council.

Medvedev and Xi Jinping discussed the situation in the post-Soviet space, including the Ukraine crisis.

Xi Jinping told Medvedev that he hoped the parties would maintain rationality and restraint and conduct a comprehensive dialogue regarding the Ukraine crisis.

The meeting was reportedly held at the state residence of the Chinese leader in Beijing.
