Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov met with Masaki Ishikawa, Special Representative of Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Central Asia, Caucasus, and GUAM, Report informs.
According to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed various aspects of cooperation regarding bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Japan:
During the discussions, they reviewed the expansion of economic and trade relations, particularly in industrial and energy sectors, as well as cooperation in humanitarian fields. The role of the State Commission for Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan and the Japan-Azerbaijan Economic Committee was emphasized, noting the importance of holding the next joint meeting next year. The significance of inter-parliamentary cooperation in developing bilateral relations was highlighted, and it was noted that intensifying mutual visits and contacts would be beneficial.
