During Sibu/Interaction 2021 exercise, military personnel of Russia and China begin to plan anti-terrorist operation

Command of the Russian military contingent and the People’s Liberation Army of China (PLA) within the framework of Sibu/Interaction 2021 have begun planning anti-terrorist operation.

The command staff of a joint grouping of forces is studying reconnaissance information about the forces and means of the mock enemy, and its features.  Also, officers study the features of the terrain, hydrographic conditions and climatic features of the area where the tasks are performed.  The experience of modern armed conflicts is actively used in planning maneuvers. 

Particular attention is paid to the organization of secure communications and radio jamming in order to disrupt the control system of mock enemy.

Sibu/Interaction 2021 joint Russian-Chinese operational-strategic exercise is taking place on the territory of the People’s Republic of China in accordance with the previously reached agreements between the military departments of the two states.

The objectives of the combat training event are to strengthen the development of Russian-Chinese relations, comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction, build up the level of military cooperation and friendship between the armed forces of the two countries, demonstrate the determination and ability of Russia and China to fight terrorism, and jointly protect peace and stability in the region.

Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the exercise are represented by units of one of the formations of the Eastern Military District.  The total number of troops (forces) taking part in the joint exercise will be about 10 thousand people.
