Austin: US won’t get directly involved in Ukraine conflict

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin confirmed that Washington is ready to continue supporting Kyiv but emphasized that the US will not be directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, Report informs.

Lloyd Austin made the remarks during his speech at the forum organized by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation in California.

Stating that the support of the Joe Biden administration is vital for the Kyiv authorities, Austin stressed that Washington would continue to support Ukraine’s right to self-defense as long as necessary.

He also noted that the United States and its partners and allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization will confidently defend all flanks of NATO.
