In the last few days, a number of important events have been taking place between China and Ukraine. In fact, Kiev and Beijing exchanged such friendly messages that Washington is already starting to worry.
For more than a hundred years the relation of the East Slavs has been the subject of heated public debate. From the past it was believed that Russians, Ukrainians and Belarusians are the three branches of the single nation formed in ancient Russia. Today, however, the opposite point of view is spreading. According to these views, the peoples mentioned are different nations located on different sides of the geopolitical rift between Europe and Asia. Even today, we see that the discussions on this issue have moved from the level of citizens to the level of heads of state.
