Thai and Japanese MFA have a telephone conversation

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand discussed with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan over the phone on cooperation on COVID-19 vaccines. The Thai side expressed appreciation to the Government of Japan for the goodwill in providing assistance to help alleviate the COVID-19 situation in Thailand. They also exchanged views on the situation in Myanmar.

Thai Prime Minister highlights Importance of ASEAN

On 2 August 2021, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand attended the 54th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. The Meeting was chaired by Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof, Second Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam as the Chair of ASEAN for 2021 and was attended by ASEAN Foreign Ministers and the Secretary-General of ASEAN.

UK to provide 415,050 doses of vaccine to Thailand

On 29 July 2021, Mr. Evan Jones, Chargé d’affaires, together with H.E. Mr. Mark Gooding, Ambassador-Designate of the United Kingdom to Thailand delivered a Note Verbale to H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, stating that the Government of the United Kingdom will grant 415,040 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines to Thailand, as part of UK’s assistance to friends in the region who are facing challenges in the vaccine roll-out.
