Yesterday, Tajikistan hosted the 17th European Union (EU) –– Central Asia ministerial meeting. Meeting was co-chaired by the EU Representative for Foreign Affairs, Security Policy Josep Borrell, and Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Mukhriddin with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and the Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan.
Today the economy of Afghanistan is undergoing a serious crisis. In this context, the efforts of the Central Asian countries in restoring stability in Afghanistan through concrete plans to expand mutually beneficial and much-needed cooperation in the field of electricity are especially important.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan news, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sharaf Sheralizoda and the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Mrs. Rustamova Manzura met with the heads of diplomatic missions of Central Asian countries and the Republic of Korea in Dushanbe.
The new dynamics of regional integration, which is clearly observed in the countries of Central Asia, is critically important for strengthening stability and minimizing risks with recent events in the region. However, it is worth emphasizing that regional integration also opens up new economic opportunities that deserve special attention.
The closing ceremony of the conference “In Search of Integration in the Shadow of the Global Power Struggle and the Turkic World”, organized by the Ankara Center for Crisis Situations and Politics Research (ANKASAM), was held.
