At the final stage of preparation for SIBU/Interaction 2021 joint Russian-Chinese strategic exercise, servicemen of a motorized rifle unit from the Russian military contingent took part in a firepower training session with the performance of training firing from the standard weapons of wheeled tanks and armored assault vehicles of the Land Forces of the People’s Liberation Army of China (PLA).

The shooting was carried out with the participation of Chinese military instructors at the Tsintongxia shooting range in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of the PRC.

After the theoretical part of the training, the military personnel as part of the crews of combat vehicles carried out landing on equipment, checking the communication system and loading ammunition.  The shooting was carried out at targets simulating artillery pieces and armored objects of a conventional enemy at various distances.  Despite the lack of experience, Russian servicemen managed to hit most of the targets on the move.  The training was personally attended by the Deputy Commander of the Eastern Military District – Lieutenant General Mikhail Nosulev.  The best crew and gunner-operator were awarded prizes based on the results of the lesson.

As previously reported, in addition to the servicemen of the motorized rifle unit, a division of operational-tactical aviation and officers of the command apparatus will be involved in the joint exercise from the Russian side.

The joint exercise will be held from August 9 to 13 this year at the Tsingtungxia training ground. About 13 thousand servicemen will take part in SIBU/Interaction 2021 exercise, over 400 units of weapons and military equipment will be involved.
