Pakistan ready to consider investment projects of Kyrgyzstan

For Kabar reporting, within the framework of the Investor Days program, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ulanbek Totuyaev met with the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Islamabad, Muhammad Shakil Munir, and its honorary members.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said that during the meeting, Totuyaev informed the Pakistani side in detail about the broad investment and export opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as about the measures taken by the country’s leadership to protect foreign investors.

The ambassador focused on the presence of huge potential for interaction between the business communities of the two countries in various fields, such as agriculture, food industry, energy, textile and pharmaceutical industries, IT industry, and tourism.

Also, the Pakistani side received information on investment projects of the Kyrgyz Republic in the energy sector (construction of hydroelectric power plants), light and food industries, brochures of the Bishkek Free Economic Zone, as well as travel brochures of tour operators in Kyrgyzstan.

At the end of the meeting, the ambassador of Kyrgyzstan invited honorary members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Islamabad to take part in the next Kyrgyz-Pakistani business forum in Bishkek in 2022.

The Pakistani side, in turn, expressed its readiness to consider investment projects of Kyrgyzstan, and also confirmed its readiness to render every assistance in establishing and expanding direct business contacts between the business circles of the two countries.
