Reciprocal trading houses to be set up in Uzbek and Pakistani cities

Uzbek Ambassador Alisher Tukhtayev met with chief of the major Pakistani textile company, Diners Group, Suhail Moten Monday.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the ways to organizing the production and trade of RMGs, to set up trading houses of the two countries in Tashkent, Samarkand, Karachi and Lahore as a new area of cooperation.

They agreed to establish the first trading houses in Karachi in February 2025 and in Tashkent in March.

Reportedly, the building of the Uzbek Industrial Products Trading House in Karachi is currently ready, a symbolic opening ceremony will be held on January 3, 2025, and video footages about Uzbek products and manufacturers will be shown before the arrival of the exhibition products.

Suhail Moten shared that he was also working on cooperation with Uzbekistan in agriculture, including the establishment of modern greenhouses, and plans to visit the country in early February.
