Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan meet on cross of 3 borders

The trilateral meeting of Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda was held on the cross of the borders of three countries in Batken region of Kyrgyzstan, Ferghana region of Uzbekistan and Sughd region of Tajikistan.

The Prime Ministers noted the meeting was held according to the earlier reached agreements on border issues between the heads of 3 countries.

The Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan said the countries have the potential for strengthening of cooperation in such areas as trade, logistics, hydropower, cultural and humanitarian ties. They referred to development of border and interregional cooperation as an important element of cooperation.

The completed process of delimitation of the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, exchange of ratification notes to the agreement on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border was noted.

Importance of completion of the process of delineation of the remaining Kyrgyz-Tajik state borders was highlighted. Working groups need to prepare the final documents in the shortest possible time.
